Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton appoints Stephen Richard Magor as the General Manager of the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Malaysia. Stephen as the General Manager will support Jamie Mead, Regional General Manager for Malaysia, in overseeing all aspects of the management of hotel"s operation. He will be responsible for the hotel"s 538 rooms with breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur, 5 dining outlets offering a wide selection of options from local cuisine at Makan Kitchen the hotel"s signature restaurant to home-style Italian fare at Tosca, a bar and an outdoor saltwater pool and 24-hour fitness center.
Stephen has been involved in the hospitality industry with a very strong sense and respect for the industry, owners and its people business since young. A born and bred English gentleman who has many years of International experience from working in Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific is a go-getter, leader by nature with strong personality and fantastic leadership skills.
As a seasoned hospitality executive, Stephen brings more than 30 years of progressive industry experience that has come full circle. Most recently Stephen served as the General Manager for DoubleTree by Hilton Shenyang, China where he created a service culture at the property that improved overall guest experience, as well as successfully leading the team in achieving results to become the market leader in terms of occupancy and popularity. All thanks to his relentless drive for achievement of financial goals, guest satisfaction and owners expectations.
Now as General Manager, Stephen will continue DoubleTree by Hilton's CARE Culture embodying strong and vibrant tradition of simple, timeless values that aren't just words; they've become a proud way of doing good business, as well as lead the formulation and implementation of strategies to deliver product and service excellence so as to enhance the property's reputation as a leading accommodation of choice in the heart of the Golden Triangle, Kuala Lumpur's prime commercial, shopping and entertainment district.

Stephen is married to a Malaysian and in his free time he enjoys running, swimming and cycling. His career which, started as a Chef, has brought him to work in some of the world"s cosmopolitan cities like Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Melbourne, New Delhi, Singapore, Sydney and Kuala Lumpur.
