Yomi Egbeleye has been appointed Director of Rooms at St. Regis Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce Yomi Egbeleye as its new director of rooms. Egbeleye will bring his 14 years of luxury hospitality experience from the USA, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Nigeria, into the role.
As director of rooms Egbeleye will oversee all rooms operations, including front desk, concierge, guest experience, valet, housekeeping and fitness. Alongside these responsibilities Egbeleye will manage the budget for the rooms division, ensuring resources align with the hotel's financial goals.
Egbeleye began his hospitality career in the USA, after getting his Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from Ferris State University. He then gained experience at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and Renaissance Atlanta Midtown. During his tenure at Renaissance Atlanta Midtown, Egbeleye increased check in sales by 6 percent and generated US$13.1 million in room sales.
Egbeleye has also held some important roles in the Middle East, launching high profile properties, including Renaissance Downtown Hotel Dubai (now The St. Regis Downtown), which ranked in TripAdvisor's top ten. He also played a key role in the three month pre-opening launch for The Dubai EDITION. During his time at JW Marriot Marquis Dubai, Egbeleye led 245 associates to achieve the hotel's best-balanced scorecard results.
Most recent to his appointment at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, Egbeleye led the pre-opening of The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort. He also made significant contributions to the openings of The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, The Ritz Carlton Al Wadi Ras Al Khaimah, as an opening conversion support, and The Bodrum EDITION.
