Red Cliffs Lodge Zion, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel has appointed Ron Carter as the new General Manager for the recently rebranded and reimagined hotel. In this role, Carter will be responsible for ensuring seamless daily operations, developing and leading the management team, and driving initiatives to elevate the guest experience through engaging events. Red Cliffs Lodge Zion, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is a 132-room boutique hotel that stands as the gateway to Zion National Park, designed for the adventure traveler who seeks exploration and relaxation.

Boasting more than 25 years in the hospitality industry, Ron Carter joins Red Cliffs Lodge Zion from Heritage Senior Communities in Hurricane, UT, where he served as Owner and Administrator. Prior to that, Carter was General Manager at Embassy Suites Palmdale, in California. His extensive hospitality career includes the role of opening General Manager at Hyatt Place in downtown Glendale, CA, and General Manager at Embassy Suites Valencia, CA. Carter has held key roles across several brands and regions, including General Manager of Residence Inn by Marriott in Ontario, CA; Regional Director of Operations for Campbell Lodging, overseeing ten hotels; and Director of Revenue Management for Campbell Lodging. He also opened TownPlace Suites by Marriott in Ontario, CA, as General Manager and was General Manager at Residence Inn by Marriott and Hampton Inn by Hilton in Rancho Cordova, CA, marking his first dual property management role. Early in his career, Carter gained experience in sales and food and beverage management at Provo Marriott & Conference Center in Provo, UT. His career has taken him to diverse locations and allowed him to build a reputation for fostering high-performance teams and driving exceptional guest experiences.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Carter is a family man who loves spending time with his wife of 25 years and their four children. An avid skier, Carter is excited to return to Utah, where he can enjoy the great outdoors. His daughter is also following in his hospitality footsteps, currently serving as the front office manager at a Fairfield Inn in Wyoming.
