
Sofitel Dubai Downtown announces the appointment of Claire van't Hull as its new room's division manager. With over a decade of luxury hospitality experience, Hull is poised to strengthen Sofitel Dubai Downtown's reputation as a pinnacle of luxury and service excellence.
Hull's philosophy revolves around creating meaningful connections and exceeding expectations. She believes in proactive guest engagement, consulting feedback channels like social media, guest surveys, and direct guest interactions to enhance service standards through listening to her guests.
Prior to her new role at Sofitel Downtown Dubai, Hull led a team as front office manager at Mövenpick Media City. During her tenure at Mövenpick, she oversaw front desk and concierge operations, and led a dynamic team, fostering a culture of excellence.
Hull's hospitality career began in 2012, where she started as a guest service agent, in her home country, South Africa. She gained experience by immersing herself in various departments, including events and reservations, gaining invaluable experience in guest relations, operations and service excellence. She went on to pursue international opportunities, eventually bringing her to the hub for luxury hospitality, Dubai. Leaving her home country at 20 years of age required Hull to navigate different cultures, service standards, and operational structures, offering her a unique perspective on multicultural leadership.
