A respected hospitality leader with over 25 years of global experience, Gillet is known for his strategic vision, guest-centric leadership, and ability to elevate luxury properties worldwide.
Gillet joins IHG Hotels & Resorts from One&Only Aesthesis on the Athens Riviera, where he played an integral role in shaping the resort's ultra-luxury positioning. Prior to that, he led the iconic Hotel Martinez in Cannes, enhancing its Riviera-lifestyle allure and strengthening its reputation as a premier European destination. His distinguished career also includes leadership roles at Grand Hyatt São Paulo, Park Hyatt Chennai, Park Hyatt Johannesburg, and Hyatt Regency Casablanca, where he successfully implemented strategic growth initiatives, navigated complex market conditions, and introduced transformative guest experiences. As he steps into his new role overseeing Grand Cayman's most sought-after resorts, Gillet will lead operations at both Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa and Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman, ensuring each continues to push boundaries in luxury, lifestyle, and guest experiences.
A native of Bordeaux, France, Gillet holds a degree in Hospitality Management from the Paris Hotel School, a master's in Hotel Administration from the Hotel Management School of Strasbourg, and an MBA-equivalent in Finance from Sorbonne University. An avid runner and triathlete, he enjoys outdoor adventures with his Beagle and is relocating to Grand Cayman with his wife, Lucile, as they embrace island life.
