Marriott International has appointed Shahzad Butt as the new multi property general manager for Aloft Dubai Airport, Element Dubai Airport, Aloft Al Mina, and Element Al Mina.

With a hospitality career spanning over 30 years, Butt brings extensive leadership experience across four- and five-star hotels and a strong track record in pre-openings, brand conversions, and multi-property operations. In his new role, Butt will spearhead the strategic repositioning of all four lifestyle hotels. His immediate focus will be on elevating the guest experience through innovative service touchpoints, strengthening commercial performance through dynamic pricing strategies and partnerships, and leading sustainability initiatives aligned with Marriott's global "Serve 360" programme.

He was named one of the top 101 general managers in the Middle East by Hotelier Middle East in 2024, in recognition of his leadership impact. Marriott stated that Butt's leadership will play a key role in aligning the Aloft and Element properties in Al Mina and Dubai Airport with modern guest expectations and shifting market trends.
