Expedia Group today announced the appointment of Eric Hart as its Chief Strategy, Business, and Corporate Development Officer. A seasoned executive with deep travel industry expertise, Hart brings a proven track record of driving strategic growth and high-impact business development.
Reporting directly to CEO Ariane Gorin, Hart returns to Expedia Group after previously serving as Chief Financial Officer from 2019 to 2022. He also held the role of Chief Strategy Officer, leading the company's global strategy, business development efforts, and mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in his tenure, Hart served as General Manager of CarRentals.com and led Expedia Group's corporate strategy team, where he was instrumental in several of the company's largest acquisitions.
Most recently, Hart served as Chief Financial Officer at a leading fintech company, where he played a key role in scaling operations and driving innovation. He also currently serves as Chair of the Supervisory Board of trivago. Prior to Expedia Group, he held roles in private equity at Lake Capital, was a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group, and began his career as a Consultant at Accenture. He holds a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
