With a distinguished career spanning economics, real estate finance, and hospitality, Kent brings invaluable perspective and deep-rooted expertise to the Group. He previously served as Managing Director of Leisure and Hospitality at Goldman Sachs, where he founded and led the firm's Global Hospitality Investment Research Practice. Through pioneering research and investor strategy, Kent played a key role in boosting hospitality as a public/private investing opportunity on Wall Street, co-founding the Goldman Sachs Hospitality Conference and shaping industry narrative through six market cycles.
His appointment follows a period of rapid momentum for UnderTheDoormat Group. Following its successful merger with Veeve, the Group has established itself as one of Europe's largest and most dynamic end-to-end short-term rental businesses. Additional milestones include the launch of strategic operations in the Middle East - including a high-impact partnership with Visit Oman - and the creation of 1LiVNG, a flexible rental platform for mixed-use developments built in collaboration with hotel technology specialist Alliants.
Kent's counsel will be instrumental as the Group builds on its established presence in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East to scale its technology solutions across North America.
In addition to his advisory and industry roles, Kent was recently appointed Chief Economist for the Long Island Association and serves as Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at Molloy University, where he plays an active role in shaping the next generation of industry leaders.
