Nate Hardesty

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, the first resort in Deer Valley's recently expanded East Village, announces the appointment of Nate Hardesty as the resort's new General Manager and Area Vice President. A 23-year Hyatt colleague, Hardesty brings over two decades of extensive hospitality leadership experience to his new role, where he will oversee the operations and strategic direction of this landmark property, alongside The Residences at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley.

With a career that has taken him to 11 U.S. cities, Hardesty has a passion for impact-driven hospitality. Most recently, he served as Managing Director at Thompson Austin and tommie Austin - the latter during its opening, following his role as General Manager at Andaz West Hollywood in California.

His well-rounded expertise also extends to sales and marketing, previously Regional Vice President of Sales, Americas for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. In this capacity, Hardesty managed over 60 Directors of strategic corporate sales accounts and oversaw territory and third-party teams across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Throughout his Hyatt career, Hardesty built upon years of Sales & Marketing experience across the U.S. and throughout the Hyatt portfolio, serving in leadership roles at properties such as Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, and Grand Hyatt Denver. That expertise proved essential in 2013, when he led the pivotal transition of the 1,641-room Peabody Orlando into the Hyatt Regency Orlando—now one of the brand's flagship convention properties.

In his current position as General Manager and Area Vice President at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley and The Residences at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, Hardesty will lead all hotel operations, oversee strategic planning and guest experience initiatives, and drive continued growth for this milestone Hyatt property.

The property marks Grand Hyatt's debut in Utah, offering luxury accommodations and premier access to Deer Valley's newest mountain terrain, which will span 3,700 skiable acres once completed. Serving as the heart of Deer Valley East Village expansion, guests can look forward to 436 exquisitely appointed guest rooms and residences, 30,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space, indulgent dining options, and a host of curated amenities. This new standard for mountain opulence invites skiers and adventurers to experience an enchanting retreat with a seamless blend of sophistication, adventure, and unparalleled service.
