The LINE DC - the landmark hotel in Washington, DC's Adams Morgan neighborhood - announces the appointment of Heidi Calhoun as the Director of Sales. With more than 20 years of hotel experience, Calhoun brings a wealth of knowledge of both the DC market and the LINE brand to this new role.
Prior to joining the LINE DC, Calhoun served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Timbri Hotel where she played a pivotal leadership role during the hotel's transition from the LINE SF to the hotel it exists as today. Through her work during the transition, Calhoun learned the ins and outs of the LINE Hotels brand, gaining an invaluable understanding of its values, its goals, and its ethos. Her familiarity with the brand positions her as an expert in who the LINE customer truly is and how the brand can best plan for success.
Calhoun has also held sales positions across various other DC hotels, including Courtyard by Marriott Embassy Row, Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row, and The Dupont Circle Hotel. Her time working with a range of hotels across the city has made her an expert of the market and identifying what guests are looking for, whether they are locals stopping by for dinner or visitors looking to make the LINE DC their home away from home.
In this role, Calhoun will lead business development initiatives, including fostering strategic partnerships, building community relationships and implementing forward-thinking sales strategies to elevate LINE DC's brand within the Washington, DC market and beyond. Her contributions in this role will be essential to preserving the LINE DC as a bustling destination within the nation's capital and beyond.
Located in the heart of one of DC's most vibrant neighborhoods, the LINE DC prides itself on not just welcoming visitors from out of town, but playing an integral part within the local community. The hotel's restaurant, No Goodbyes, taps local farmers, fishers, and small-time ranchers for a menu that is a reflection of the region. The LINE DC is also housed within a 110-year-old church, allowing it to maintain elements of the neighborhood's history while contributing to its future. The addition of Calhoun promises to strengthen and extend these community connections and build even deeper bonds within the neighborhood.
