Dennis Sorensen

Dennis Sorensen has been appointed resort manager of Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The property hopes his appointment supports the Reserve's operational growth.

Located within Saudi Arabia's Red Sea destination, Nujuma is the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in the Middle East. It has been recognised in several international rankings and has received attention for its focus on privacy, wellness and guest experience.

Sorensen's new role is expected to involve overseeing Nujuma's day-to-day operations, team leadership and guest experience delivery, while contributing to the Reserve's growth within Marriott's regional luxury portfolio.

Sorensen joins Nujuma following his role as pre-opening general manager of Ilma, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. There, he oversaw 224 suites, several F&B venues and a range of onboard experiences.

Prior to that, he led Evrima, the first vessel in the yacht collection, managing operations across 129 suites and associated luxury services.

His land-based experience includes serving as the hotel manager at The St. Regis Toronto. During his tenure, the property achieved multiple accolades for the hotel and spa.
