ibis Styles Dragon Mart Dubai has announced the appointment of Deepika Biju as its new GM. With over 25 years of hospitality expertise across Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East, Deepika brings a transformative leadership style that puts people at the heart of performance and growth.
At ibis Styles Dragon Mart Dubai, Biju is reshaping team culture with a spirit of ownership, creativity and collaboration. She introduced the GM's Breakfast Table, a monthly initiative where a team member from a different department shares insights directly with her over breakfast-strengthening engagement, interdepartmental understanding and morale.
Previously beginning her career as a chef at Taj Hotels, Biju's career journey spans industrial catering, event management, sales and marketing, revenue strategy and hotel general management. She has held senior roles with prestigious brands including Taj, Hilton, Rotana, Melia, Compass Group and now Accor.
A highlight of her career includes being nominated for the Hilton Global Summit Award for commercial excellence, recognising her agile leadership in reopening three hotels during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her strategic and people-first approach also led to her appointment as an advisor to the Hilton Centre of Excellence, where she contributed to shaping best practices and standards across the region.
