A seasoned hospitality leader with more than 20 years of experience, Thomas brings a strong track record in hotel operations and guest service excellence to his new role overseeing the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the historic 106-room property in New Orleans' Garden District.
Prior to joining The Pontchartrain Hotel, Thomas served as director of rooms at the four-star Hyatt Centric French Quarter in New Orleans, where he managed multi-departmental teams and was key in driving operational success. With more than two decades of experience in hotel operations, Thomas is recognized as a results-driven leader with a proven track record of exceeding financial goals, enhancing guest satisfaction, and mentoring high-performing teams. With a career that includes leadership roles at Sleep Inn Slidell, Hyatt Place Convention Center, and Windsor Court Hotel, he is adept at managing large-scale renovations, task force assignments, and revenue-generating initiatives. As the newly appointed general manager at The Pontchartrain Hotel, Thomas will work to keep the hotel's classic charm while continuing to deliver the top-notch guest service for which it is known.
