The newly renovated Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street announces the appointment of Ruth Raposo as the hotel's new hotel manager. A hospitality veteran with more than 28 years of experience with Hilton, Raposo will oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, including guest services, staff management and strategic planning.
In her most recent role, Raposo served as director of operations at Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort, previously Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, following earlier leadership roles as director of front office operations and director of housekeeping at the same property. She has also held management positions at The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood, Curio Collection by Hilton and Hilton Boston Back Bay, where she began her hospitality career.
With a passion for excellence, Raposo is a proud graduate of Hilton's SHINE 2 development program for general managers, further strengthening her leadership skills and strategic focus. Originally from Boston, she has been part of the South Florida hospitality community since relocating to Fort Lauderdale in 2012.
Her appointment follows the hotel's recent multimillion-dollar renovation, which introduced redesigned public spaces, updated guest suites, refreshed meeting venues and the debut of a new signature restaurant, TASTE Restaurant & Bar. The reimagined property now offers a modern tropical retreat in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, appealing to leisure, business and cruise travelers alike.
