
A consummate hospitality professional with dedication to service and attention to detail as her north stars, Gina Genna is the marketing and communications powerhouse at the InterContinental Miami hotel. For the past five years, she has been a driving force as the Director of Marketing for the iconic downtown Miami hotel, cementing its well-earned reputation as a conference and business property, as well as a premier destination for luxury, lifestyle travel. Now, IHG Luxury & Lifestyle Americas is proud to announce Gina's accession to the role of Senior Area Director of Marketing for the Texas region including InterContinental San Antonio and InterContinental Houston, in addition to InterContinental Miami.

"In her new role, she will bring that same level of excellence to support the marketing efforts of our exceptional Texas hotels."
In Gina's role as Director of Marketing, her day-to-day responsibilities revolve around building and executing the branding, communications and marketing, as well as overseeing social media, digital platforms, and reputation management channels, for the entire InterContinental Miami property and its ancillaries including the hotel's signature Pan-Latin steakhouse Toro Toro, Freddy's Speakeasy, BlueWater, Olé and mySpa. In her new position as Senior Area Director of Marketing, Gina will continue to perform these duties and spearhead the marketing department at the InterContinental Miami, while also mentoring, guiding and supporting the marketing teams at the InterContinental San Antonio and InterContinental Houston.
Originally from New Jersey, Genna holds degrees from both the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and Florida Atlantic University. Her career in hospitality began at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, where she rose from Advertising Coordinator to Advertising Manager. Over seven years, she led high-impact campaigns and helped launch key property features including Hard Rock Live, 13 bars and lounges, 11 restaurants, and numerous gaming innovations.
With this new appointment, Genna looks forward to bringing her creativity and leadership to a broader regional stage.
