Having just celebrated its one-year anniversary and collected numerous accolades such as Travel + Leisure's It List and Esquire's Best New Hotels for 2025, Anna & Bel - the boutique urban escape in Philadelphia's artistic enclave Fishtown - announces a key leadership appointment: Kimberly Capehart as Food & Beverage General Manager.
The appointment comes on the heels of milestone launches for the property, including the debut of the Anna Suite by Anthropologie Home - an immersive stay experience in partnership with Philadelphia-native global lifestyle brand, Anthropologie - as well as the rollout of Type Anna / Type Bel, a pair of wellness-focused stay experiences inspired by the hotel's namesake female personalities, Anna & Bel. Together, Watson and Capehart will guide Hotel Anna & Bel into its next chapter, strengthening its role as a community hub for locals and visitors alike.
The hotel's on-site Corsican and Sardinian restaurant, Bastia, by Chef-Partner Tyler Akin, has flipped the script on hotel restaurants, solidifying itself as a culinary destination in Philadelphia. The restaurant opened to local and national acclaim in 2024, landing as #1 on Philadelphia Magazine's 50 Best Restaurants and has since garnered recognitions from Esquire's Best New Restaurants in America, EATER's EATER Award for Best New Restaurant in Philadelphia and more. Sister cocktail lounge Caletta, which opens into the hotel's intimate, oasis-like courtyard, is helmed by Akin and Beverage Director Benjamin Kirk. Caletta was recently named one of the best bars in Philadelphia by Bon Appetit, and has been featured everywhere from VinePair and EATER to Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure for its Italian-leaning menu of elevated bar snacks and seasonally-driven cocktail menu.
As Food & Beverage General Manager, Kimberly Capehart oversees the hospitality programs at Hotel Anna & Bel's signature dining destinations: Bastia, the Corsican- and Sardinian-inspired restaurant recently named #1 on Philadelphia Magazine's 50 Best Restaurants and one of Esquire's Best New Restaurants in America, and Caletta, its intimate cocktail lounge. Working alongside Chef-Partner Tyler Akin, she cultivates a culture of service and creativity that reflects the property's vision as a gathering place for both locals and travelers.
Capehart's career is rooted in Philadelphia's dynamic hospitality scene, where she most recently served as General Manager at Pizzeria Beddia, helping guide the restaurant through national acclaim and recognition from TIME and Esquire. Earlier, she held leadership roles at La Colombe Coffee Roasters, where she contributed both to service standards and brand development.
