Falk Bartels has been appointed General Manager at The Posthouse Berlin Potsdamer Platz – Leonardo Limited Edition, Germany
The Posthouse Berlin - Leonardo Limited Edition, which opened on 1 September 2025, has created a new premium segment highlight in the hospitality sector in Berlin. After undergoing extensive modernisation works over recent months, the hotel now combines the historical flair of the former post office building in which it is housed with an individual character and modern levels of comfort. The company was able to secure the services of Falk Bartels as General Manager.
Mr. Bartels is an accomplished hotelier who brings over 30 years of experience to the table. In his most recent position as General Manager of the Leonardo Royal Nuremberg, he steered the hotel through the challenges of coronavirus and established it in the top six Leonardo Hotels in the euro zone in terms of sales revenues. Falk Bartels previously held a number of senior roles with employers such as the Mercure Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie, several Novotel hotels, Hilton and the Grand Hyatt Berlin. He achieved particular successes by introducing innovative culinary concepts and by fostering young talent. Cooks from his team reached the final of the "Cook of the Year" competition on two occasions. Mr. Bartels is a keen runner in his spare time and recently completed a half marathon. He also likes to seek inspiration from gourmet food.
