Shaun Acosta Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco - CA, USA

Shaun Acosta

Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is pleased to announce the appointment of Shaun Acosta as the new executive chef of the hotel's award-winning signature restaurant, MKT Restaurant & Bar. Chef Acosta will oversee all culinary operations for MKT, as well as in-room dining and the hotel's banquet and catering offerings.

An accomplished culinary leader, Chef Acosta brings an impressive 20-year tenure with Four Seasons to the Market Street property, returning to the city where he began his career and culinary education. His philosophy focuses on finding the "balance between simplicity and innovation," believing that "less is more" when executed with passion and precision.

Most recently, Acosta served as executive resort chef at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, where he was responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including the open-air restaurant CAMPO Poolside and extensive banquet offerings.

A native of Woodland, California, Acosta launched his professional journey in San Francisco, graduating from the California Culinary Academy and working at the Hyatt Regency. He first joined Four Seasons in April 2006 at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on the Big Island of Hawaii, where he spent a decade, working his way up to executive sous chef. Following his time in Hawaii, Acosta served as the opening executive chef at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, where he famously created the "Restaurant In Your Room" concept, bringing a full dining experience to the comfort of guests' rooms.

As he takes the helm at MKT Restaurant & Bar, Chef Acosta is set to inspire the culinary team and uphold the property's commitment to providing an unparalleled dining experience that highlights the region's finest sustainable seafood, local meats, and seasonal produce.
