Stéphanie Segaux has been announced as Starwood Hotels' vice president of development EMEA, with the new appointment spearheading development strategy as the brand enters its next phase of strategic global expansion.
Segaux, who will be based in Amsterdam, is set to report into chief development officer Abhay Bakaya, and collaborate closely with regional teams to identify, shape, and execute new opportunities.
Following the successful launches of Starwood Hotels in London and Copenhagen, Segaux will focus on identifying and securing new development opportunities in the region that continue to elevate the portfolio and further distinguish each of the brands.
The appointment marks a full circle moment for Segaux, who started her career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts before spending just under a decade at Rosewood Hotel Group, where she most recently held the role of Director of Development, EAME.
During that period, she identified new opportunities, led project negotiations and partnered with internal teams to deliver both hotel and residential developments. With a strong track record and deep relationships across owners, investors, and key stakeholders, Segaux returns to Starwood Hotels to help accelerate the company's growth and expansion throughout Europe and the Middle East.
The extensive portfolio of Starwood Hotels, founded by hospitality visionary Barry Sternlicht, includes 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels, and Treehouse Hotels.
