Enrique Glückmann General Manager at Le Carl Gustaf St. Barth in Gustavia, Saint Barthelemy

Enrique Glückmann

Hôtel Barrière Le Carl Gustaf St. Barth is delighted to announce the appointment of Enrique Glückmann as General Manager. Joining the team in March 2025, Glückmann now oversees the day-to-day operations of the five-star luxury property, including the renowned Spa Diane Barrière and the hotel's celebrated food and beverage offerings: Beefbar and Shellona. He brings more than 20 years of international hospitality experience and a distinguished background in luxury property management to his new role in St. Barth.

Glückmann brings an international and energetic approach to leading Hôtel Barrière Le Carl Gustaf. His career began in London, but it was during his time in Dubai, particularly at the iconic Jumeirah Beach Hotel, that he refined his approach to service, operations, and guest experience in one of the world's most competitive hospitality markets.

His professional journey has since spanned multiple continents and luxury brands, with leadership roles at Etihad Airways, the national airline of UAE, Hotel Arts in Barcelona, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel property; and at resorts in the Seychelles and Morocco. Notably, he played a pivotal role in opening The Fairmont Taghazout Bay, before serving as Hotel Manager for Cheval Blanc Randheli and Cheval Blanc Seychelles under the LVMH Hotel Group - positions that deepened his expertise in managing high-touch, ultra-luxury resorts.

Now at the helm of Hôtel Barrière Le Carl Gustaf, Glückmann draws on this global experience to lead with thoughtful vision and operational precision. His leadership emphasizes seamless service, warm hospitality, and personalized attention at every guest experience, positioning the hotel for an exciting new chapter.

Set above the harbor town of Gustavia, Hôtel Barrière Le Carl Gustaf offers a quiet sense of escape without feeling far from the island's rhythm. Originally opened in the 1980s and redesigned in 2020 by Gilles & Boissier, the hotel blends colonial architecture with a modern, understated style. Its 21 suites, along with a five-bedroom villa, are tucked among tropical gardens, each with a plunge pool and views that stretch out over the Caribbean.

Days unfold naturally here. Breakfasts overlooking the harbor, an afternoon swim at Shell Beach, a visit to the spa, or a long, relaxed lunch at Shellona and dinners at Beefbar. Whether you're here to disconnect or explore, Le Carl Gustaf offers a quieter, more thoughtful way to experience St. Barth.
