Sushma Shetty has been appointed cluster director of talent & culture across Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate and Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate.
Shetty boasts over 17 years of experience in Dubai having previously led human resources functions for groups such as Hyatt and IHG Hotels & Resorts. The combination of industry insight, compassion and dedication makes Shetty renowned for fostering inclusive workplaces, enhancing employee engagement, and driving organisational excellence, her employers say.
Prior to taking on her new role, Shetty held the position of cluster people & culture manager at Accor Hotels, Dubai Deira Waterfront and Gold Souk District. Having started out as a human resources coordinator, at Deira's Hawthorn Hotel, Shetty spent just under two years with IHG before joining Mercure Gold Hotel as assistant manager human resources. From there, she became Accor's talent & culture manager, before going on to fulfil the same role at Movenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel & Convention Centre Dubai.
In her new position, she will oversee all aspects of people & culture across the three properties, focusing on employee development, engagement, and maintaining Accor's strong people-first culture.
Accor currently operates more than 85 properties in the UAE and, only last week, strengthened its presence by announcing the acquisition of Dubai's Creekside Hotel.
