Michael Gibson has been appointed General Manager at Quincy Hotel Melbourne, Australia
Quincy Hotel Melbourne is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Gibson as its new General Manager, bringing more than two decades of hospitality leadership and a proven track record of operational excellence across globally recognised hotel brands.
Commencing earlier this month, Michael joins Quincy from Accor, where he most recently led The Sebel and Mantra Twin Towns in Coolangatta and earnt the prestigious Art of Hospitality 2025 Pacific Award. He has also held senior roles with Accor, Ultiqa, Marriott, and Mantra Group, where he delivered revenue growth, hotel operations, and award-winning service standards.
Known for his people-first leadership style and commitment to the hospitality industry, Michael has successfully overseen large-scale refurbishments, sustainability initiatives, and complex dual-property operations. He holds a Food and Beverage Management Certificate from eCornell and is currently completing a Bachelor of Business at Swinburne University.
