Chua Chee Wui has been named Group Chief Investment Officer at Shangri-La Group in Hong Kong, Hong Kong (SAR)
Shangri-La Asia Limited (HKSE Stock Code: 00069 / SGX Stock Code: S07) is pleased to announce Mr Chua Chee Wui as dedicated Group Chief Investment Officer, effective 30 March 2026. Following the transition, Mr Chua will continue in his role as Group Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of the Board.
As part of its ongoing commitment to strategic growth and operational excellence, the Group is strengthening its leadership structure to support the expansion of new business areas while continuing to optimise its existing portfolio of hotels and assets.
Mr Chua Chee Wui, who joined Shangri-La in February 2018 as Executive Vice President, Special Projects, was appointed Group Chief Investment Officer in September 2019. In August 2022, he additionally assumed the role of Group Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the Group's finance operations.
During his tenure as Group Chief Financial Officer, Mr Chua provided steadfast leadership through some of the most challenging periods for the hospitality and travel industry, ensuring the Group's financial resilience.
