The Travel Foundation has welcomed Caroline Bremner to its team as Data Insights Specialist, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in travel research, intelligence and strategic foresight to the international NGO.
Her appointment marks a gear shift in the Travel Foundation's ambition to offer top-tier insight to destinations and tourism businesses navigating a fast-changing world. Caroline will lead the delivery of Impact Insights, a new service designed to help organisations interpret global change and apply the most relevant insight and foresight to strategy, budgeting and transformation goals.
Delivered as a high-impact presentation and facilitated discussion, Impact Insights provides decision-ready intelligence on the forces shaping tourism's future - from shifting demand and digital transformation to climate risk and destination resilience. In an increasingly volatile operating environment, this offer equips leaders with the tools to make smarter choices, focus their resources, and build long-term resilience.
Alongside Impact Insights, Caroline will also contribute to research and programme development at the Travel Foundation, with a focus on areas such as destination risk, tourism sentiment as a proxy for wellbeing, and the equitable distribution of tourism's value.
A regular LinkedIn series, Impact Insight Bites, will also share short, accessible takes on emerging tourism intelligence.
Caroline is the author of Future-Proofing Travel (Kogan Page, 2025), which explores how travel companies and destinations can harness digitalisation and green innovation to regenerate communities and build long-term success. She previously led Euromonitor International's travel research programme.
