Bernard Garth Hartzenberg Executive Culinary Director at The Pinnacle Kigali in Kigali, Rwanda

Bernard Garth Hartzenberg

The Pinnacle Kigali, Rwanda's newest ultra-luxury hotel and private Members Club in the Rebero Hills, has appointed Bernard Garth Hartzenberg as Executive Culinary Director, reinforcing its ambition to become one of Kigali's foremost gastronomic destinations.

Conceived as a tranquil urban sanctuary that bridges Kigali's energy with Rwanda's wilderness, The Pinnacle features just nine individually designed guest rooms, a rooftop bar and restaurant with sweeping city views, a saltwater infinity pool, spa and wellness center, 21-seat Dolby Atmos private cinema, four-lane bowling alley, games lounge, library, and The Pinnacle Members Club for Kigali's entrepreneurs, creatives, and cultural leaders.

With a global career spanning Cape Town, the Maldives, Tanzania, Cambodia, Bhutan, and now Rwanda, Bernard brings a refined and adventurous culinary perspective to the property. As Executive Culinary Director, he will oversee four distinct dining concepts, each designed to make The Pinnacle a true culinary destination in Kigali:

Complementing these venues is an extensive wine cellar featuring more than 1,000 bottles, along with intimate Champagne and whiskey lounges for private tastings and late-evening conversations.

Beyond hotel guests, The Pinnacle is also home to The Pinnacle Members Club, a private social and business club with reciprocal access to more than 40 global clubs through partnerships including Onda and Sonato.

Reservations for 2026 are available at www.thepinnaclekigali.com or by email at stay@thepinnaclekigali.com.
